Good morning all. I hope you had a nice weekend. It really feels like Summer now with this lovely weather. I hope you were all able to get outside and enjoy it!
I went for a swim in the sea yesterday, it was so cold I couldn't feel my toes for about ten minutes afterwards. I had to have a hot drink to warm me back up!
We made our own pizza for dinner and ate it in the garden. After dinner we walked down to the Black Castle in Wicklow to watch the sunset. It was beautiful! I couldn't believe it still wasn't properly dark at 10pm. Does anybody else find they are waking up earlier now too that the mornings are so bright?!
Pawla's friend Bobo hung out at our house a lot this weekend - I can't decide if they are friends or enemies so we call them frenemies! I couldn't stop laughing a Bobo's face in the picture!

Cian emailed me last week with a fantastic limerick which he wrote:
There was a young boy called Cian,
who's mother was very mean,
she gave him no food,
which put him in a mood,
and he ended up being very lean
Cian also sent a fantastic picture he drew. An Póst sent a book of activities for lockdown and on one of the pages it said to make a scary monster out of things you like. Cian's monster was made up of a dog head and arms, a burrito body and baby legs. The picture shows the monster destroying the city - it gave me a good laugh!

Brody was in touch too. He has been going on lots of walks with his mom and brother. He also said his mom is teaching him to play rounders. Rounders is a great game - maybe some of you have played it before. I think you should ask Brody to show you all how to play when you are back in school!
Brody is also doing his best with his homework ....and enjoying some tasty treats by the looks of this picture - yum! I can see his quest to grow is hair long is going well too!

As usual I have set your work via Aladdin. Remember extra activities will now be posted to a separate page on the website ('extra activities') should need extra activity ideas you can choose some from there. Also keep going with biodiversity challenges!
Remember to just do the work you can, don't get stressed and get plenty of fresh air - let's enjoy this sunshine while it's here.
If you have any questions, news or work, send them at me at cmonahan@newtownprimary.ie
Have a lovely week - miss you all!
Ms Monahan :-)
