To the children who would have been making their Communion this weekend,
We should have had a very busy week this week preparing for our Communion. Do you remember how busy we were practicing for our confession? I know that many of you are disappointed, but don’t worry it will happen in the future when the schools open again and when we are able to go back to Mass. Just try not to grow too much taller over the summer so those outfits fit! :-)
In the meantime, keep trying to live your life in the ways Jesus showed us; being kind and showing love for everybody. At times it can be difficult to live like Jesus. When we are stuck in the house more it is easy to argue or get in bad moods. Now more than ever it is important that we all work together and forgive one another to keep each other safe and happy.
Ms Meldon and I are thinking of you all and are very proud of all the hard work you have done in school and at home this year. We hope you take some time to mark the day. We have attached a worksheet where you usually find your homework on Aladdin. It contains a Gospel and prayer to read with a parent as well as a colouring sheet.
To make you all smile instead of feeling disappointed, you will find some pictures of me making my First Holy Communion below. I remember feeling great in my lovely white dress - especially my silky gloves. I got the chain and the watch as gifts on the day. Would you recognise that little girl as me?!
Have a great weekend,
Ms Monahan :-)
