Good morning 4th class,
I hope you all had a nice weekend and enjoyed the lovely sunshine! Remember it’s very important to be active and to get fresh air!
There can be no Active School Week but there can be an Active Home Week.
The aim is to do 4 movement activities a day for up to 60 minutes in total!
It is about having Fun and challenging yourself with NEW activities to do!
This week is about getting up and moving as much as possible. If you go for a walk every day, that’s great, one activity. If you play outside with a ball, that’s another activity, then pick 2 NEW activities (your choice to have fun with) and your days challenge is complete!
(Take a picture, send it to the email and we can show how amazing you are doing on the website)
I will also upload a challenge card that you can fill in each day! If you don’t have a printer you can draw out your own card!
Active school flag website has lots of different ideas to make sure you have new activities to choose from! There are activities like Katie Taylor’s circuits for kids, toilet roll keepy uppies, limbo, freestyle hurling, hopscotch, trampolining, skipping, cosmic yoga, egg and spoon race and LOTS, LOTS MORE TO KEEP YOU MOVING! Use twitter for #activehomeweekideas
I will also be giving you a daily movement challenge which can be counted as one of your movement activities.
