The children of 4th class had a wonderful time on Friday 10th June in Avondale Forest Park. The tour was run by Coillte's Compass Club. They had great fun identifying different habitats and learning about survival skills. The tried their hand at creating fire from a flint as well as building their own forest shelters. Click HERE to see their fantastic forest shelters. The children finally got to toast their marshmallows over a stove . There was great excitement back in the classroom at the end of the day signing each others Compass Club T-shirts.
