In November we read the story 'Owl Babies' by Martin Waddell. We learned all about the parts of an owl, where they live, what they ear and we even examined some owl pellets. We found bones of mice and birds in them. Five owls visited our school and we even got to see one fly accross the hall. It was very exciting. We read the book 'Room on the Broom' by Julia Donaldson. In the role play area we played in the witches and wizards potion lab. We built the witches house in Lego. We made potions in the sand and we played with all the characters from the story in the small world ares.Watch the video below of all the songs that the children are learning in school to help with their phonics. To finish off our theme of Goldilocks, today we made and tasted porridge. Most of us loved it and ate it all up. Have a look at the fun we had! Welcome to Junior InfantsWelcome to our new class page. We will update this page on a monthly basis with news and pictures of what we have been up to for that month. We hope you enjoy it!
This month has been all about 'Goldilocks and the 3 Bears'. Junior infants have been having lots of fun acting out the story, making porridge with the sand and building the Bears house with Lego. Here are a few pictures of our adventures. |
