Our first month back in school!
It has been so wonderful to be all back together in class these past few weeks! We have been busy learning and exploring and getting back into our routines!
With the (odd bit of) good weather we have, we tried to make the most of it and get outside as much as we could! It was a great time to go on our Spring walk, where we looked out for any signs of spring!

The week we returned we had world wildlife day, where we worked together and each coloured a piece of this large display of beautiful animals to mark the occasion.

We also started to explore 'The supermarket' in Aistear, our role play area was very popular where we could act out visiting the store or working in the store. We had water play, small world with Lego where we built our own shops and construction with sticky bricks.
Mother's Day and St Patrick's Day
We also had two celebration days where we used art as our way of marking them! We made these lovely pieces to send home to our brilliant mums on Mother's Day, who we all love so much!
For St Patrick's Day we used paint and paper plates to create a rainbow decoration with a pot of gold at the end! We also went on a St Patrick's Day walk with our handmade Irish Flags to spread some cheer through the town!

WritingWe finally began handwriting in the last week or so of school! We have all been so excited to finally start writing the letters we have been learning the past few months. We started with the letters e and t! We have all been practicing hard and I know we will have the rest in no time! | Seachtain Na GaeilgeWe took part in Seachtain Na Gaeilge for the first two weeks back in March! We tried our best to use as much Irish as we could through out the day! We became very good at saying 'Dia Dhuit' in the hallway to people we passed! We also began to use 'Go raibh maith agat' instead of thank you during the day! Small changes that all helped us with incorporating Gaeilge into our days! |

For the last two weeks of March, our supermarket turned into a florist, where we got to act out working or visiting a flower shop! We had small world with Lego where we could build our own flower shop, we had construction with straws which we could use to make flowers and we planted our own seeds with Ms Doyle.

I hope you all have a lovely Easter break and I can't wait to see you all again in April!
Stay safe,
Ms Doyle
