Hard to believe we have already come to the end of term 1 of 6th class! After such a long period of time away from school I am delighted to say how amazingly well all the children in our class have settled back in by now. It has been a busy term as we all get used to operating and learning in the Covid context. It never ceases to amaze me how flexible and adaptable children are and within a few weeks, all the children were following procedures and co-operating with guidelines as second nature. This makes our job a lot easier!
We had a very busy first term and with Mr. O Brien supporting our class, there is plenty of movement and time spent indoors and out with a great variety of content. We also are in a lucky position to have Joan for Music Generation, Jackie for GAA, Mr Keddy kindly giving us a couple of hours for an in-class blitz ,as well as the use of individual chrome books for each child all year long.
Attached you will find the curriculum update for Sept/Oct giving an overview of the work we did. We were also blessed to have such great weather which got us out and about in the community for lessons as you'll see in the photos.

Wishing everyone a lovely midterm break where you all get a chance to slow down and enjoy the autumnal sunny days and watch the natural world change and prepare for the winter. A chance to remember those who have passed on before us and give thanks for that we have in our lives. Look forward to seeing you all again next week, refreshed and ready for a new and exciting term ahead! Stay Safe this Halloween! Samhain blessings to you all!
