Good Morning Rang a Cúig,
I hope you all had a good weekend. What kinds of things did you get up to? Did any of you go for a walk in the woods, or to the beach, or around your neighbourhood? Did you play with some of your friends? Did you read, bake, cook, do a puzzle, do some gardening, do some art? Let me know what you've been up to, I'd love to hear about it.
Indie and I went for some lovely walks over the weekend. The good news is she's been enjoying her walks in the last little while so we've been having less battles (but she's been getting more treats!) Yesterday we went for the loveliest walk at Broadlough Lakes which is very close to where we live. It is just the most beautiful, quiet and peaceful place. Indie loves it because it's so quiet and away from roads that she can run off her lead and the water on the lakes is much calmer so she'll paddle and sometimes even swim.
Anyway, yesterday, she decided to get a little adventurous and took me off the road and out to the furthest point we could get to which meant wading through long grass, marsh and very soft sand. It was mucky but fun and we decided that perhaps you should join us as we tried to find our way back to the road. So click on the video below and join us for an adventure through the wilds of Broadlough.

I hope you enjoyed the walk/adventure Rang a Cúig, I somehow suspect you did not get quite as mucky as we did, especially Indie who needed a bath when she got home. Check out these photos afterwards, have you ever seen such a mucky pup?
She wasn't too keen on the bath, and you should have seen the amount of dirt that came off her but look how fluffy and proud of herself she looked afterwards. Needless to say, she fell sound asleep later on.
I have sent some work home through Aladdin, we are looking at World War I this week mixing our English and History together. We are also practising our reading in Gaeilge and I will be giving you a story each day to read and activities to do with it, we have done stories like these before so hopefully you can manage them.
Thank you to all of you who sent me in your Inventions Projects, I learned so many new facts from your work. As for your own inventions, I felt like I was on Dragon's Den as I read them, you came up with so many creative ideas that could really change the world and make you millionaires! Just remember who encouraged you to come up with these ideas if you do become rich and famous! Alex invented a cloning machine and asked me what I would clone, can any of you guess what my reponse was?
Don't worry if you didn't get a chance to do the Inventions Project, I have set a new project topic for any of you who would like to do it. This project is a Passion Project, you can pick your topic, something you are passionate about. Perhaps it is your favourite football team, or wild animals, books, a TV Show, fashion, your family, your pets, engineering or science, music etc. Rang a Cúig, the list is endless and the topic is your choice, pick something you are passionate about and tell me about it. You can present it in whatever way you prefer, you can make a video, a poster, a book, a mini movie, you can write and record a song, you can build it using leg or materials from home, you can use Google Slides or Docs. Again, this is your choice, choose whatever topic and whatever presentation you like. I am setting this as a two-week task but it is no problem if you need longer, this will probably be our last project.
I hope you enjoyed the virtual walk with Indie Rang a Cúig.
As for today, it is yet another beautiful day so make sure you get outside, get active and enjoy that sunshine. Remember to keep your 2m social distancing.
Take Care and Stay Safe,
Ms Cheevers
P.S. Here are the answers to last Friday's Brainteasers? Did any of you try them with your family? How did you get on?
