Newtownmountkennedy Primary School is under the patronage of the Catholic Archbishop of Dublin.
It was established as a co-educational school following the amalgamation of a boys (St. Joseph's NS) and girls (St. Brigid's NS) school on the current campus.
Two autism class were established in St. Joseph's National School in 1998. Our School now has 4 autism classes.
The school also participates in the Department of Education's Band 2 DEIS programme.
Our School Principal is Deirdre Lennon.
School grounds open from 8.50 a.m.
School starts at 9.00 a.m.
School finishes for Junior & Senior Infants at 1.40 p.m.
School finishes for 1st to 6th class and our autism classes at 2.40 p.m.
Early Close : All classes finish at 1.40 p.m. on the second Wednesday of every month.
Newtownmountkenndy Primary school campus consists of three buildings; Junior School, Senior School and St. Joseph's which has two of our four autism classes.
