Children in 1st class had lots of fun experimenting with toys in the classroom this month. They investigated which toys could be pushed or pulled, and explored how the toys moved on different surfaces, such as the table, carpet, tiles and blanket. They also investigated whether toys moved easily down slopes and reported their findings to their classmates. Then they designed their own toys that could be pushed or pulled.
1st Class also learned about sources of light and experimented with light and materials. They learned about the difference between transparent and opaque materials and made predictions about which materials in the classroom would be transparent. The children used torches and objects in the classroom to find out which materials light could pass through!
The pupils in 1st class love art and this month they had lots of fun making prints with everyday objects.
