This month, we learned about Spring and were lucky to have a visit from two newborn lambs.
In Maths, the children practiced measuring using a metre string, measuring the classroom, areas of the school and the yard. They worked in teams with some children holding the string, some marking their place and others counting and making note of the number of metres measured. Pupils also explored odd and even numbers, pairing lollipop sticks to see which numbers were odd and which were even.
Children in 1st class designed their own fridge magnets as Mother's Day gifts.
They also played a drawing barrier game, where they listened to instructions from, and gave instructions to, their partner in order to create identical pictures without looking at each others work!
