Good morning 4th class! How are you all?
I hope the sunshine comes back soon! I got to see my cousin’s new dog this week. (She lives next door so we social distanced in my garden). He is such a hyper dog and loves running around the place. She finally chose a name for him…Theo!
This week we will be taking you on some virtual school tours and will suggest some activities that you could do based on these tours. All classes will be “going on” the same tour so you can go together as a family at the same time. Some tours are based here in Ireland and perhaps you might visit them in person in the future or have already been there. Other places are further away but through these tours we might feel like we are really there.
You can check out the ‘outdoor activities’ section of the website for some fun things to do at home too!
You can continue to work on your project during the week too! If you have it finished by Friday you can send it to me! Don’t worry you if don’t have it finished, you can send it to me whenever it’s done!
The deadline for the “Newtownmountkennedy Primary School – Le chéile agus óna chéile” Art Project is Wednesday 10th June!!
Art pieces can be posted, dropped into either school building in the art box provided in the porch or can be emailed to c19parentsupport@newtownprimary.ie! This will be a great project but we need EVERYONE to be involved!
I seen this idea during the week and thought it was a great idea! It might be of interest to some of you :
The mermaid arts centre in Bray are asking young people living in Wicklow (aged between 2 and 18) to use your imagination, get creative draw a picture and write a poem about your Gran/Grandad/nana/Grandpa and tell how much you love them. Your picture and poem will be displayed on their website for your grandparents to see!
I thought it was a lovely idea! Have a look at their website for more information:

I hope everyone enjoys their virtual school tours!
