I'm sure you're all just holding your breaths and waiting to hear who won the walking battle yesterday! Was it me, or was it the pesky pup? Did we go for a walk together or was I walking alone for another day? Well...I know how much you all love a good cliffhanger so you'll have to wait until Monday to find out :-)
I'm only joking, I couldn't make you wait that long. It turns out, I can be just as stubborn as Indie, would you have guessed that? I filled my pocket with treats and my mind with determination and off we set, and we stopped, and we walked, and we stopped, and we walked, and we stopped...You get the idea! I might have even carried her a little because I wasn't giving in this time (I bet anyone walking or driving past thought I was crazy carrying her down the hill). I might also have given her several treats and lots of encouragement along the way as well as the promise of her favourite treats (carrots- which weren't the treats in my pocket because I'm not putting carrots in my pocket). But we did it, we made it, we persevered and we completed a whole walk without turning around. So that means... I WON!!!!!
Did you know that today (15th May) is International Day of Families? So your challenges today/over the weekend are simple. Do something nice with your family. Go for a walk or a cycle, play a board game, do a puzzle, have a family dance off, tell jokes together, share your favourite music with each other, make each other laugh & smile, play a game in the garden together, watch a movie, call someone in your family who doesn't live with you. There are lots of things you can do together as a family, maybe you'll come up with your own ideas
I'm not sure what the weather will be like over the weekend, but try to get out and get some fresh air. I'm hoping to convince Indie to go for a few more walks and to read some more of my book. I hope you're all doing some reading every day. I'd love to hear what you are reading at the moment.
Have a lovely weekend Rang a Cúig,
Take Care, Stay Safe
And Remember...BE KIND to one another.
