We are learning about World War I this week. Today I am asking you to look at a video about how the War started - please watch the first video on the page "Segment 1 The Start of the War". It is a very informative and interesting video explaining how World War I started. Once you have watched the video, write out five facts you have learned from watching the video and five questions you still have about World War I after watching it.

You are also welcome to do some further research yourselves on World War I. There are lots of fascinating things to learn, how they used trenches in the battlefield, how children were impacted by the war, what sides different countries took, how the war spread from one part of Europe to becoming a World War, also known as "The Great War" or "The War To End All Wars" and how it finally came to an end.
