I hope you're all having a good day. Make sure you click back to the homepage to see the special video staff made for all our students for the end of the school year.
Thank you to those of you who sent me your Reflections and Poems yesterday, you reminded me of some of the activities we did this year that I had forgotten about. You all had so many achievements, learning joined writing, learning long division, writing your own books, doing project work and so many more things. You also had so many achievements at home, especially in this last term, learning to play badminton, building a bird house, how to use the lawnmower, how to put up a tent and lots, lots more. Here is a selection of your Hot Air Balloons showing just some of the things you learned and achieved this year.
You also sent me some really lovely poems reflecting back on our year. I knew you were a particularly creative groups of students, but these poems are exceptional and again, they reminded me of some of the many things we did together and the fun we had during the year.
Fifth Class Acrostic Poem
Fifth class is almost coming to an end
I know we will all miss our sixth class friends
Fond memories we have made
Treasured days of when we played
How they could not be forgotten
Can we all stick together for our last year
Laugh and learning with our peers
An amazing year is yet to come
Sixth class will be so much fun
SO let’s make this the best year yet!
An Acrostic Poem
Easy to talk to
Really loves animals
By Kacey Kelly
As the school year ends
we put down our pens
We reflect on this year
as it took a different steer.
5th class started at a fast pace
But over the past few months I think my memory is starting to erase.
We looked forward to our trip to CCA
We did lots of cool things and had a great day.
Jackie taught us lots of tips and tricks
Like how to kick a ball with fancy flicks.
We performed our christmas concert in December
A great gathering I remember.
Covid came and changed the game
We went home not feeling the same.
When the school year ends I'll miss my 6th Class friends.
Filled with fun at times like our trip to the Mermaid Theatre and visit to CCA
It was an interesting experience
Truly boring at times but it’s not too bad
Hard to believe fifth class is nearly over and we’re going to sixth class
Creative projects were done this year like Write A Book Project
Lovely activities were done like the Christmas Cinema Party
Sorry to believe it’s all over
Slán léat Ráng a Cúig!
Forever I’ll remember this year
I’ll always know the memories I made
Fifth class was very grand
The other years were very bland
Hedi is still in first class
Cheevers was our teacher
Lilian is her first name
All the things our class did together
Strong and friendly like a team
So, Hedi is still in first class
Thank you to all of you who sent me reflections and poems today. I look forward to hearing more of your thoughts and memories of 5th class this week.
Have a great day,
Take Care & Stay Safe,
P.S. I came across this picture over the weekend and it really made me smile, I hope it makes you smile too.
