Good Morning Rang a Sé.
Hope you managed to get outdoors at the weekend despite the change in weather. It was great seeing some of you last week up at the school looking very tanned and healthy. I met some 5th class students too, some loving the time off, others saying they are bored! Ms Maguire and I met to finalise the Yearbook with Fiona, it looks great and I think you’re going to be very pleased with it. Thank you all so much for returning the All About Me sheets, you will be able to read pupil’s memories in it too.
This week the theme is School Tours as this is the time of the year all classes would be heading off. Instead you will be doing virtual tours to the Titanic and the Zoo. There is also a screen free ‘going camping’ tour on the outdoor section of the website with lots of other activities on Covid 19 section of the school website.
If you haven’t yet sent in your Art for Le chéile agus Óna Chéile (Together and Apart), the deadline is extended to Wednesday and there are boxes outside the school you can drop it in to.
There are fun activities up on Aladdin as your work for this week.
I’m guessing your minds are on moving onto Secondary School. I have spoken with teachers in CCA, Loreto and St David’s and they are going to be ready for you all. They know that you haven’t been in school for quite some time and that you may be nervous or worried as well as excited and they will be there to help you settle in. You are ready for it! Only three weeks left in Newtownmountkennedy P.S. Do I hear you cheering?
Let’s hope the sun reappears and stays this week.
Hope you and your families are all okay.
Take care
Ms Hurley.
