Good Morning Rang a Sé.
What a glorious morning, the sun is shining, and the birds are singing. Hope you are in good form too and had a good weekend.
Thank you so much for returning the All About Me worksheets. If you haven’t sent it in yet you can do so by emailing it to me churley@newtownprimary.ie or you can drop it into a box inside the door of the Senior School building. I have spares if you need one. It’s great to know that you’re thinking about your time in the school and you might have a chat with your parents about it too. You can write them down, write a poem, draw a picture and send them on.
Thank you to the 6th class Student Council members for representing your classes with your contributions. It’s such a shame you are missing out on meeting the New Infants and their parents again having done such a fantastic meeting and greeting on the Open Day.
Your Confirmation day would have been last Thursday and I’m sure on the day you were feeling very disappointed. It will happen in the future and we will celebrate it together. Fr Smith, who has been so good at visiting the class this year is celebrating 60 years in the priesthood, 29th May 1960 – 29th May 2020. Amazing! We congratulate him and thank him for helping prepare the class for Confirmation and for attending our Assemblies each week. Comhghairdeas Fr Smith.
Next week we are into the month of June! Graduation is coming. I’ve received emails form some of you with great ideas, let me know if you more. You will have a chance to catch up with each other and I’m really looking forward to hearing how you are all doing. It’ll be fun hearing your memories of the years you spent in Newtownmountkennedy PS. I’m sure there are lots of stories to be told!
Don’t forget; churley@newtownprimary.ie for any questions or ideas.
Have a great week, enjoy the sunshine and take a minute to listen to the birds.
