Active Home Week: GET UP, GET OUT AND MOVE ABOUT!
There can be no Active School Week but there can be an Active Home Week ..
The aim is to do 4 movement activities☑️☑️☑️☑️a day for up to 60 minutes!
It is about having Fun and Challenging yourself with NEW activities to do! This is your
challenge this week.
This week is about getting up and moving as much as possible. If you go for a walk
everyday, that’s great, one activity ☑️ If you play outside with a ball ☑️ then pick 2 NEW
activities (your choice to have fun with)☑️ ☑️ and your days challenge is complete! (Take a
picture, send it to [email protected] and we can show how amazing you are doing on the website)
Pick two new activities a day! Print the Challenge Chart or make your own, to keep track of
all the activities you do during the week.
The Active School Flag website has lots of different ideas to make sure you have new activities to
choose from, check out their ideas word cloud for activities like Katie Taylor’s circuits for
kids, toilet roll keepy uppies, limbo, freestyle hurling, hopscotch , trampolining, skipping,
cosmic yoga, egg and spoon race and LOTS, LOTS MORE TO KEEP YOU MOVING!
To complete the challenge you need to:
-Exercise for 60 minutes a day Monday- Sunday
-Make sure you do four different types of exercise a day
-Pick at least 2 NEW activities a day (the other 2 activities can be things you do daily such as a walk or your PE homework)
Remember if exercising outdoors, keep within 2km from home and keep a 2 metre distance from others!
