This month we had the topic of Spring as our theme and it was integrated into many of our subjects. We had the flower shop in Aistear, we learned about the lifecycle of a butterfly and read "The Hungry Caterpillar' by Eric Carle. We also looked at Money in maths and continued Caitheamh Aimsire and Eadai in Irish.

This month we used a variety of materials to create our own outfits for our own characters. We also worked on a collaborative class display for the hallway. We worked together to paint large flowers and a large butterfly to display for spring in school.
Construction
In construction we used lego to build our own flower shops and clothes shops. We also had the opportunity to use straws to build our own flowers with.
SESE
This month we learned about the lifecycle of a butterfly. We read the story The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carl and used this as the starting point of our discussion and learning process. We then looked at the different stages that a butterfly goes through and learned the names and sequence for the different stages.
