On Friday the 20th of October, the pupils in Newtownmountkennedy P. S. took part in a sponsored walk. 6th and 5th class did a sponsored walk to Gregory’s Garage and back to school. It was a 2.5 km walk and it was a lovely sunny Autumns day so that made it a lot easier and fun. We did it to raise money for the school and to incorporate some exercise into our day at school. On our way, we passed by lots of different shops and houses etc. It took us around an hour and a half. Everyone enjoyed it and everyone was very well behaved so that made it easier for the teachers too.
