This year the whole school took home pedometers to trace our steps we aimed to reach one million steps! Some people went on long walks, and some were just a bit more active than usual. The teachers even took home pedometers over the weekend. Altogether we raised over two million steps. Every student in the top and bottom school brought home a pedometer and tried to be a bit more active and get a high amount of steps. Some people got steps in the ten thousands. The activity encouraged people to be more active and do some things you wouldn't usually do. Everyone was very pleased we more than doubled our goal. We made multiple posters and put them around the school. We were happy the school went the extra mile to encourage people to be more active. For example taking the stairs more often or walking to school if possible. There are multiple ways to be more active. Our school provides lots of options such as golf, hurling, GAA, football, swimming and many more.
