At the beginning of November, we had lots of fun learning about the optician. We read a story called ‘Arlo Needs Glasses’ to help us learn about the different things an optician can do to help us choose glasses. We even drew Arlo the dog and designed our own glasses for him!
For science week we experimented with skittles and warm water. We observed a rainbow effect when the colours melted off the skittles. We also watched what happened to some jellies when we left them in a jar of water for the day. We checked in every hour and noted how they were expanding.
Our artist of the month for November was Corita Kent. We used foam sheets, printing paint and rollers to create our own printed pictures.
We created a Hibernation Station in our classroom to make sure the animals that hibernate for the Winter had somewhere cosy, quiet and warm to sleep until we wake them up in Spring.
