Hi Everybody.
I hope you all had a nice weekend. I would love if we could all sit in circle time and share our news this morning - we must all have so much to tell each other. Here is my news from the weekend...
On Friday it was my Mom's 75th Birthday. Her and my Dad are cocooning and live only a few minutes from my house so I cooked her her favourite meal and delivered it to their doorstep. We sang 'Happy Birthday' from a safe distance. Even though it was a strange birthday, I think she had a nice day. I checked the rolla and noticed we missed Ava and Tulisa's birthdays in April. It was my birthday last Monday too! I hope Ava and Tulisa enjoyed their day. We have no birthdays this week in the class but next week we have three! Noelle, Molly and Sebastian.
On Saturday morning I went on a walk in some fields near my house. I had never been on this walk before so it was exciting to find new places to explore which are within 2km of my house. I posted a picture of the view below.
On Sunday I painted some skirting boards and door frames in my house and played boules in my back garden - have you heard of boules? It's great fun. My husband won the tournament six games to four. I will have to practise more this week and try to win the next one.
If you have any news you would like me to share with the class, or a story or picture you have done that you would like to show, your parents can send it to me by email - I would be very happy to hear from anybody

I have set you some more work to do this week. I hope you got on ok last week and didn't find anything too stressful. It's important we keep exercising our brains - just like our bodies but don't get into a tizzy! Ask for help if you need it and don't worry!
There is an Active Home Week challenge happening this week with Active School Flags. The aim is that we will be active for 60 minutes a day from Monday to Sunday and that each day we try four different exercise activities. It is about having Fun and Challenging yourself with NEW activities to do and getting up and moving as much as possible. If you go for a walk everyday, that’s great, one activity ☑️ If you play outside with a ball that's another ☑️ then pick 2 NEW activities (your choice to have fun with)☑️ ☑️ and your days challenge is complete! (if you like, take a picture, send it to the email and we can show how amazing you are doing on the website)
Here are some suggestions:
Make an obstacle course/ bootcamp in your home or outdoors with 5 different stations eg pencil roll in hallway, squats in the sitting room etc
Do a Joe Wicks PE Lesson- the body coach
Do a cosmic yoga: https://www.youtube.com/user/Cosmic-KidsYoga
Try some Pilates:

Here are some extra activities for this week if you have extra time on your hands:
Make a secret handshake with somebody at home.
Practise your ‘tree pose’ (stand on one foot, bring your other foot to below or above your knee, hands in prayer, then over your head, then wave your hands, then try closing your eyes)
Make a postcard for a classmate
See how many hops you can do on one leg without stopping
Can you solve these riddles?
Riddle 1: What is full of holes but still holds water?
Riddle 2: How many letters are there in the English alphabet? (hint: it’s not 26!)
Riddle 3: What becomes wetter the more it dries?
Riddle 4: What answer can you never answer yes to?
I hope you have a great week :-)
