Well done junior infants on all your hard work over the last few weeks!
You guys (and your parents) have definitely earned a break for mid term next week!
I was really impressed with your work this week, I saw a great improvement in the tracing work in our handwriting and some are really improving their colouring skills!

This week we started a new theme in Gaeilge, learning all about Eadai! It's great to see you engaging with the new vocabulary on our zooms! We continued to revise our sounds and letters with different online activities and each day on our zooms. You have all been working hard on your numbers, counting and shapes also! We introduced a new maths based learning app, and it's great to see so many of you are enjoying it! Each Friday we explore our local environment for our math's trail too.
We listened to the story of the princess and the pea this week, and then carried out an experiment of our own, to see if we could feel the pea! Today is the Chinese New year, and we learned a little about how they celebrate it and what it is during our zoom today, and some of you created the dragon decoration too!
As it is valentines day this weekend we did some Valentines artwork, and you all did such a great job following my art video and created beautiful love bug cards!
Another week full of wonderful work from you all!
You should all be so proud of everything you have done, I know I am proud of you guys!
I hope you all have a lovely Valentines Day, pancake Tuesday AND mid-term!
I can't wait to hear all about it on our first zoom back!
Stay safe,
Ms Doyle.
