Dia dhuit gach duine!!! Tá an aimsir ag athrú ach tá sé fós maith go leor bheith amuigh!
Hope you all are getting a chance to do some nice wellbeing activities.
I listened to a poetry podcast which reminded me of the importance of language and imagination in a time when we are hearing lots of negative things in the media. It gives us space to get on with things. I like the idea of that.
In the poem 'All in June' that I posted in the previous blog, I like the 2nd verse where I get a lovely image of being in a field of buttercups and lush grass....Buttercups are everywhere at the moment, I have seen whole fieds of them. Have you? I love the lushness that summer brings. The 'golddust on either shoe' I imagine to be all the pollen from the buttercups falling on the poets shoe proving where he/she has been for all to see. This little image is a lovely daydream to have in the middle of a busy day! It gives a sense of being carefree.

Amy has been busy today....look at this great work. I love her 'pikakog'! And an amazing project...we all know Amy's passion but its lovely to see this work on paper! Well done Amy!
I made a list of my 'Is maith lioms.......'. Have you done yours? An bhfuil sé déanta agat?
Does anyone have any crazy combo creatures to show? I would love to see some imaginative creations!
While out walking on the beach the other day we came across a harbour porpoise that had been washed up. It looked like it had been in a fight with another sea creature, perhaps. The word harbour is used in its name beacuse it tends to stay in shallow coastal waters. It looks very like a dolphin and its Irish name is 'an muc mhara' which translates as 'the sea pig' because it has a sort of snout as a nose. It was an interesting find and we measured it as approx 6ft long. Have you found any interesting treasures while out and about?
