Welcome back Senior Infants 😃
I hope you all had a wonderful and safe mid-term break. I hope you were able to get outside in between the rainy days! It was great to see you all dressed up on our Zoom call last Friday before mid-term. Well done for guessing I was dressed as a sleeping polar bear! Have a look at the picture of the display for St Brigid’s Day in our school. Can you see the picture you drew? Well done everybody👏 I’m looking forward to hearing your news and stories on Monday morning. Slán go fóill, Ms Keddy Dia Dhaoibh Senior Infants 😃 I cannot believe we are in the month of February already! Well done everyone for all your hard work so far this year and to all your Moms, Dads, Grannies, Grandads, and anybody else that is helping you at home. You all deserve a big bualadh bos! Maith sibh 😊 Last Monday was St Brigid’s Day and we made St Brigid crosses using paper or newspaper. Some of you drew spring pictures too. They look fantastic! We listened to a story about St Brigid and about her cloak on Zoom. Also, we learned about 3D shapes and you went on a 3D shape hunt. We made 3D shapes using playdough, toothpicks, marshmallows, Lego and paper. We are learning about Éadaí in Gaeilge this month too. Each of you are doing excellent work on your phonics, handwriting and your reading. We listened to the story ‘The Pig in the Pond’ and we found words that rhymed with pig! We created our own obstacle courses for PE and we did different body movements for each letter in our name. Well done👏 I’m looking forward to seeing you all on Zoom this week. Slán go fóill, Ms Keddy 😊 St Brigid's Day3D ShapesDia Dhaoibh Senior Infants! Well done on another brilliant week of online learning. I love seeing each of you on our Zoom calls every morning. It is great that we get to see one another, share our news and play some games. It was National Lego Day on Thursday last week. Some of you sent me pictures of your wonderful creations. There were police stations, houses, cars, bedrooms and even Super Mario! Have a look at our Lego video to see the fantastic creations. Maith sibh! I’m looking forward to celebrating St Brigid’s day tomorrow with you on our Zoom call. Lá Fhéile Bríde Shona daoibh go léir. Well done again for all your hard work. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend with your families. I’m sure some of you had great fun in the snow too! Well done to each of you for another excellent week of online learning. Make sure to help out at home and thank your Mom, Dad, Granny, Grandad or whoever is working with you at home. I’m really enjoying hearing and seeing you all on our Zoom calls each morning. I can’t wait for another week of stories, news and playing games with you! We had two birthdays in our class last week - Cillian and Lily. It was great to be able to say happy birthday in sign language on our Zoom call. I hope you both had a wonderful day. Your work is continuing to impress me, and it’s great to see the pictures and videos you send. You are working so hard and you should all be so proud of your efforts. Look at some of our artwork inspired by our artist of the month – Wolf Kahn. The colours really stand out! Maith sibh! Slán go fóill, Ms Keddy ![]() Dia Dhaoibh Senior Infants! 😊 I hope you all had a lovely and enjoyable weekend with your families. Well done to you all for a great first week of online learning and to your families as well for all the help and support they're giving you. I really enjoyed hearing and seeing you all last week. I can’t wait to catch up again this week at 10 o’clock. It is great to hear that you are enjoying our video calls. I loved seeing your fantastic work from last week. It was brilliant to see your show and tell on Friday and I got to meet some of your pets too! We will be using Zoom instead of Google Meet for our video calls this week. I will post the link on the Google Classroom page for you each morning. I will be posting some pictures of your super work soon so keep an eye out on this blog! I’m looking forward to seeing each of you tomorrow at 10 o’clock on Zoom. Well done again to each of you for working so hard, I'm very proud of you all! I hope you all had a happy and fun Christmas and best wishes for the New Year 2021. I hope you and your families are keeping safe and well during these difficult times. I know you are finding it strange not being in school and not seeing your friends. I miss seeing all your lovely smiles! It is important that we stay safe and healthy and remember to wash our hands like we do in school. Even though we will not be in our normal classroom in school, we will have a different classroom online called Google Classroom. It is here where I will be posting your work each day. We will also have a daily video call at 10 o’clock, where you will see me and all your friends from the class. I cannot wait to do some activities like show and tell, news, reading stories and playing games during these calls. If you have done any work that you would like to show the class, you can email me at akeddy@newtownprimary.ie and I can post it to the blog. Also, don’t hesitate to email me if you have any questions or concerns about the work. I am looking forward to seeing you all on Monday morning at 10 o’clock! Stay home, stay safe agus nígí bhur lámha (wash your hands!) 😊 Ms Keddy |
