Dearest Rang a hAon,
I really wanted to wish you and your families a huge ‘Happy New Year!’ I hope you have had a fantastic Christmas Break! I hope you had loads of fun and especially enjoyed the covering of snow we’ve had over the past few days! 😊 Did anyone make a snowman? If you have a photo you can show it to us on ‘Google Meet’.
I had a very relaxing time off! I enjoyed loads of walks, explored new recipes for dinner and even jumped into the icy sea every few days. At this time of year, my skin feels a bit stingy when I get in because of the cold but it is very refreshing and I feel great after it (once I don’t stay in too long!)
I know it is disappointing for everyone that we can’t continue learning and having fun in school for the moment. I know you will miss seeing your friends and I will certainly miss seeing each of you in person, but the most important thing now is that we all stay safe. So, remember to ‘be the best you can be’ at home, be kind and helpful, and continue washing your hands…
The great news is that we will see each other each day on Google Classroom (Google Meet) at 10.30am. We will get to catch up with each other, tell our news, do show and tell and maybe even learn some more Irish Sign Language (seeing as you were all so good at it for our Christmas Show).
If anyone needs any help, please don’t hesitate to send me an email at sleahy@newtownprimary.ie.
I can’t wait to see you all at 10.30 tomorrow morning!
Love, Ms. Leahy
