We have lots of fun activities planned for you. This week is all about revision and looking back on the year. We have made exciting maths trails for you to do on Monday and Tuesday. You will get to make a maths trail for your family to do on Wednesday. You will also be listening to nursery rhymes and fairy tales this week; nursery rhymes are a great way to practise your phonics. On Thursday you will be thinking about all the things you liked this year. You can either draw or write your answers. On your last day of Senior Infants, you will be having a Teddy Bear Picnic. It will be so much fun! We have loved hearing from you and seeing your schoolwork and artwork. You should be so proud of your hard work. We have made a goodbye video for you which we will post on the blog on Wednesday, we hope you like it! Aria is so lucky to have a caring BIG SISTER like you Lexi! I would like to say a big CONGRATULATIONS to Lexi, her sister Leah, her brother Darren and to their mom and dad. Have a fantastic active week. Ms Darcy & Ms Keddy   Good Morning Everyone! We hope that you liked the activities for well-being week. Our favourite activity was the Teddy bear breathing exercise. We are super excited because this week is school tour week. Yay!! We have lots planned for you. On Monday and Tuesday, you will be going to the zoo. https://www.dublinzoo.ie/virtual-tours-2/ On Wednesday and Thursday, you will be using your imagination to make a fort and construct a playground for your Lego figures or toys. You are also going to make a lava lamp on Wednesday (you will need oil, water, salt, and food colouring). On Friday you will be learning about the life of an astronaut. There are many links to virtual tours on the Help My Kid Learn page on the website so you can choose other tours which are most relevant for you and your family. Laoise will turn 7 on Wednesday, we wish her a very happy birthday! This week, you will be taking part in an exciting art project with the whole school called ‘Le chéile agus óna chéile’ (together and apart) in which you create an 'I AM' poster (10cmX15cm) using a word that relates to you. Did you enjoy learning about money? We are sure that you had fun making coin rubbings! We hope you liked the story of Chicken Licken, what an adventurous journey they had! Not only will you be finding out lots of information about the planets, but you will also be building rockets! You will be learning about 3D shapes in Maths too. Ms Darcy loves singing so she recorded the song Twinkle twinkle in Irish for you to sing along with and make up your own actions to it. Yesterday, Ms Keddy took part in a 24 hour run for charity with her Newtown GAA football team. Do you know how long 24hours is? It is a full day! Don’t worry I wasn’t running for 24hours as there were lots of people running. Maybe you know or saw some people running around where you live? That is why it is important that we learn these tricky words. Choose five new words from the list below each week for your child. Write them out or print them and let the games begin!
